This is our 38th year of Family Camp. We only have a few that were there in the beginning, but we have plenty that are seasoned campers. Take a look at some frequently asked questions to help you in your plans for Family Camp this year.

Camp is only $40 per person. That get's you 3 nights and 8 meals of awesomeness at Camp David Jr.
Kids 2 and under are free.
We have the food & cabins covered, so just plan on the basics for camping. The bunks carry a reputation for not being super comfy, but the jury is still out on that one. Here's a quick list to get you started:
Yes! The camp has aluminum canoes and we have seen everything from sailboats, kayaks, SUP boards, ski boats and fishing boats make their way to camp. If you do plan to bring a boat just let us know in your registration form.
Yes! We hire a beach certified lifeguard to keep us safe in the water. We will have a couple hours each day where the beach is open and the life guard is on duty for you to swim. There will be times when the beach is closed.
The cabins are super simple. Most cabins have 11 bunks in them with pads for each bunk. They are all heated with skylights and concrete floors. Most cabins will have 2 families in them. There are partial walls dividing the 2 sections with a common space in the middle (there are no interior doors). The cabins have no bathrooms in them, but are not far from a bathroom. Showers are located in the lower level of the lodge.
We have a great kitchen staff that is planning and prepping to feed you and your family as you read this. You don't need to bring any food except the large dessert to share, but feel free to bring your favorite snack to hold you over between meals that can be stored in your cabin.
If you have a special diet or allergies you can let our camp staff know on your registration form and they will plan for you. If you need to refrigerate food at camp, we will set aside a small part of the fridge to be shared by all.
Easy, just follow this link and buy yours by May 3rd. Buy as many as you like, we love to see camp shirts and hoodies worn all year long! We cannot guarantee we will have your size available for purchase at camp.
We schedule camp with as much free time as possible for you to enjoy time with your family and your church. There are some all-camp meetings here and there for teaching, singing and all-around fun, but we build camp to give you space to enjoy time together.
We love to encourage carpooling, especially to Family Camp. The church will not be providing any rides to camp this year through a bus or a van.
This year, you may notice that when you register for Family Camp, or sit through one of our weekly services you will see something about the Camp Fund. This is one of the biggest changes we have ever brought to our camp registrations. Last year camp cost $35 per person, but this year with the introduction of the Camp Fund, we are dropping the cost of camp down to $15 per person!
The Camp Fund is very exciting to announce, it is planned to be fully funded and supported by those that love camps and events and most importantly love people. Our goal is that this will give us the chance to not just meet budget every time, but to keep camp cheap every time for every family. The Camp Fund is vision driven. This isn’t a one-time attempt to fund a single camp, but an on-going chance to give generously to all of our camps. We couldn’t be more excited for how this will bless families through the love and support from other families and individuals in our church.
What does this mean for you? This means that you can breathe easy over family camp costs for your family this year. Sign up and get those spots paid for so you can be on your way to the best weekend of the year. This also means that you can seek out if God is calling you to give to the camp fund. Some can give a lot, some can give a little and some won’t be giving any and that’s ok. All we ask is that you spend time talking and praying about the Camp Fund.
