The Harvest Home Dinner is a Thanksgiving dinner for our whole church community. It is a good opportunity to have fellowship with each other and enjoy a great turkey dinner. 

There were a few challenges with the 2012 dinner. We have a seating capacity of 90 in our fellowship hall, and we served 130 that day. It’s a great problem to have to outgrow your fellowship hall! This year’s dinner will be served at the First United Methodist Church, whose fellowship hall has a greater capacity than our Allen Hall. 

As in past years, we ask that people sign up to reserve their place at the Harvest Home dinner. This year you will receive a ticket for the number of reservations you have made, and we ask that you present that ticket when you arrive for the dinner. This way we will be able to plan for the number of people that need to be fed. If extra tickets are left, they will be available at church that morning but not at the door.

This dinner has always been funded through donations and free-will offerings. That will continue, but this year we have the added rental expense for the Methodist church’s social hall. Please prayerfully consider what you can give. We suggest a minimum of $2 per adult. We also appreciate people who sign up to bring food items in addition to their cash donations.
