David and Mephibosheth
1 Samuel 20: 14-17, 42; 2 Samuel 9
BIG IDEA: We can show love for God by sharing with others.
GET TALKING:
- What promise did David make to Jonathan a long time ago?
- Who was Mephibosheth? (Jonathan's son)
- What was wrong with Mephibosheth? (His feet were hurt and he couldn't walk very well.)
- How did David show God's love to Mephibosheth and his family? (King David invited them to eat with him in the palace, he gave them land and servants.)
ACTION PLAN: Name some people you can share with, and what you can share with them.
PRAYER: Ask God to help you find ways to share this week.

- Why was David kind to Mephibosheth? (He was Jonathan's son, and David and Jonathan promised to always take care of each other's family.)
- Why did Mephibosheth need help? (He couldn't walk well. His feet were hurt.)
- How did David show Mephibosheth kindness? (Invited him and his family to live with him in the palace, to eat with him at the King's table and offered him servants to take care of him and his family.)
ACTION PLAN: Talk about ways people may need help and how you can help them.
PRAYER: Ask God to help you find ways to help those who need it.
